Fifteen local emergency agencies are conducting a massive search for 83-year-old North Bryan resident Emma Carroll.

Bryan County Emergency Services Director Jim Anderson said Carroll was last seen around 6 p.m. Saturday at her home on Carol Crossing in Groveland, near Hwy. 280 and the Evans County line.

“She has dementia and we believe she left the residence on foot,” Anderson said.

The mobile command vehicle is currently set up next to Carroll’s home, and Anderson said the search is by land and air, including Fort Stewart helicopters.

Carroll was last seen in a blue dress with a white flower pattern on it.

Anyone with any information on Carroll’s whereabouts is urged to call 911.
