Were it not for a recent Facebook post, the change of ownership at ReMax Accent Richmond Hill might have gone largely unnoticed, thanks to the busy schedules of the principals involved.
But the cat is now all the way out of the bag — brokers Lynne Butler Bayens and Alice Steyaart have sold the agency to a trio of longtime ReMax Accent co-workers: Kelly Johnson, Teresa Cowart and Eddie Warren.
The pricetag was not announced, but the new partners stressed their goal is to continue “to be the real estate company of the community,” said Johnson, who is the qualifying broker and has been with ReMax/Accent since 2000.
“The whole company is and has always been community-oriented. We support all sports and all community events, we buy into that,” she said. “We all do it individually and we plan on continuing that tradition.
“Lynn and Alice have been huge supporters of community functions. They cross all lines, from the sports to the arts. As owners, we will continue that tradition.”
The deal was made official March 1, and all five will continue to work as brokersfor the company, which has a staff of 27 agents who can cover all of Georgia, Warren said.
