Wildcats keep rolling
Ronnie Harris carried 12 times for 114 yards and a score and Nick Fitzgerald added 11 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns to help lead Richmond Hill High School to a 41-21 win over Jenkins on Friday at Wildcat Stadium.
The win assured RHHS (8-1, 5-1) of a second place finish in Region 3-AAAAA.
Fitzgerald, a 6-foot-5 Mississippi State commit in his first year as a starting quarterback at Richmond Hill, also completed 3-of-9 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Michael Clark caught the 65-yard touchdown pass from Fitzgerald.
Senior fullback Daniel Winters and freshman running back Elijah Polite also scored touchdowns for RHHS.
The Wildcats’ defense had four interceptions, two from defensive back Darius Brown, one by defensive back Martial Washington and one by linebacker Nathan Soliata. Tyler Williams and Demetrius Williams had nine and eight tackles, respectively, and Williams recovered a Jenkins fumble.
