This past Sunday we showed the movie, "Facing the giants." In preparation for this movie we had to hook up the DVD player and run it through the LCD projector which should have been a simple task. We could get the sound but no picture thinking the whole time that we had everything hooked up right.

We searched through the DVD and LCD projector manuals and got more frustrated by the minute. We went through the LCD menu and checked for possible shorts in the wiring.

We had presumed that since we were using a coaxial cable that it should be connected to the coaxial terminal on the back of the DVD player.

Finally I gave up and called a friend who I knew was an expert in this area. When I told him the situation, the first thing out of his mouth was, "DO you have the cable from the LCD hooked into the output terminal?" Bingo, that was the problem and things went uphill from there.

Sometimes people make establishing a relationship with God harder than it really is.

They spend a whole lifetime trying to go about it all the wrong way. They think that if they do enough good deeds that they can achieve success. The Bible tells us that this relationship cannot be established through good works, for if it could man could boast about what they did to achieve it.

Some think that if they just join a religious organization that will be the key that unlocks the door. Others think that by taking part in religious rituals that it will be enough.

The truth is that there is only one way to have a relationship with God and that is to make up your mind that you will be willing to be a follower of Jesus Christ and by faith put your life in His hands. Believing that if you confess your sins He is able and willing to forgive you and claim you as His son or daughter.

Each and every day we can trust Him to lead us and meet our every need. If you are trying everything under the sun to get your heart right with God, my advice to you is to just let go and trust God.
