Students from Bryan County High School attended the 51st Annual Georgia Technology Student Association state conference Feb. 27-March 1 in Athens.
Hunter Bragg, Ryan Hires, Stanley Hood, and Kevin Achen competed in engineering and technology education competitions such as Technology Bowl, On Demand Video, Problem Solving, Dragster and Essays on Technology.
Bragg and Hires placed as top-10 state finalists for On Demand Video. For that competition, the students were given 24 hours to produce and edit a 60-second video with a required line of dialog in the script, specific props and a given topic on the first day of competition. The topic was the “History of GA TSA.”
“The experience was challenging and fun and a once in a lifetime experience,” Hires said. “The competition was intense, but I knew through hard work we could put Bryan County High School on the map and bring home the win.”
Student members of GA TSA at BCHS are enrolled in the engineering and technology education pathway.
