Bryan County High School senior Diamond Mcgirt reached the 1,000 point plateau on Tuesday night. Mcgirt scored 24 points in the Lady Redskins' 38-34 win over Metter in Pembroke.

Mcgirt has 1,012 points and should score more. The Lady Redskins play Long County on Friday night with a shot to clinch the No. 3 seed in their subregion.
