“A Colonial Christmas” will be held from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 8 at Fort Morris State Historic Site, 2559 Fort Morris Road in Midway.
Admission is free.

Patrons are invited to celebrate the holidays as it may have been done in the country’s Colonial period at Sunbury. Interpreters and volunteers in historical attire will fire the Christmas Guns (muskets) as a holiday salute across the countryside. Jamie Keena will perform Colonial Christmas music. “The Christmas Story” will be read and the traditional yule log will be brought in and thrown into a Christmas bonfire that will be lit around twilight. Caroling of period songs and Colonial refreshments will be available, and Colonial dancing will close out the evening.
