Ask Richmond Hill High School football coach Lyman Guy what concerns him about first-round playoff opponent Warner Robins and he flips the question around.

"Maybe the better thing to ask me is what doesn’t concern me about Warner Robins," Guy said. "I think their band maybe doesn’t look that intimidating … but the team is big, fast and athletic. They’re a big time program and they’ll be a true test for us."

The Wildcats will get their chance to find out whether they’ve got what it takes to pass the exam Saturday night when they take on the Demons in Warner Robins.

The Wildcats (8-2, 5-2) are the No.-3 seed from Region 3-AAAAA after finishing in a three-way tie for second with Glynn Academy and Effingham County. A tiebreaker based on point differential put the Wildcats in third behind Glynn.

The Demons (8-2, 6-1) are the No.-2 seed from Region 2-AAAAA.

"We’re probably facing the best No.-2 seed in the state, and the only reason they’re a No.-2 seed is because the No.-1 seed in their region is the No.-1 team in the state," Guy said, referring to unbeaten Northside-Warner Robins, the top team in Class AAAAA.
