SAVANNAH —  The Coastal Empire Council Boy Scouts of America has received a donation from Bass Pro Shop in the Savannah Mall during its fall “Friends of Scouting” campaign.

“Thanks to Bass Pro Shop, more scouts can experience our new camp, Black Creek Scout Reservation,” Scout executive Tom Cardiff said. “This gift will be used to send scouts from low income families to camp.”

“Thanks to the generosity of our customers during Scout Month at Bass Pro Shop, we are happy to be able present this gift that will help more local scouts enjoy the outdoor life,” Bass Pro Shop store manager Chris Finnegan said.

Established in 1920, the Coastal Empire Council Boy Scouts of America serves more than 7,000 young men and women annually in Coastal Georgia though traditional Scouting, inner-city Scout Reach programs, Learning for Life and Explorer Post programs. Contact the Coastal Empire Council Boy Scouts of America online at bsasavannah.org or by calling 912-927-7272.
