Richmond Hill High School beat Brunswick 8-4 on April 6, setting up a Friday night showdown at Ware County to decide the Region 2A-AAAA championship.
The Wildcats clinched no worse than second place with the victory over the Pirates.
Ryan Esenwein got his fifth win of the year and Jonah Reyes collected three hits and drive in three runs as RHHS improved to 11-8 and 7-1 in the subregion.
Nathan Ward, Kevin Davis and Paul Bell each had two hits. Richmond Hill plays Glynn Academy on Tuesday.
