Theft by conversion

Dec. 17 – A Richmond Hill resident filed a complaint, saying that in October, the alleged offender took her Amana brand washer and dryer, thinking it belonged to someone else. When she contacted the offender and explained the mistake, the offender reportedly refused to cooperate and said she would not return the property until the original property she was after was delivered.

The complainant said she does not have that property or have any means by which to deliver it to the offender. The complainant had no serial information or model numbers at the time of the report.

Burglary

Dec. 19 – A vacant residence on Scriven Drive was allegedly burglarized. The homeowner said one of his relatives called to notify him that the back door of the home had been pried open, which the homeowner said had been dead bolted.

The door was open a couple inches and the edge of the door was bent in several places, but the damage did not appear to be fresh, the report said.

There was also no reported damage to the door jam. The man could not provide a time frame for when the alleged break in could have occurred. When the interior of the home was inspected, the man reported a lock installation set missing, estimated to have cost about $200. The complainant was given a case number.

Disorderly conduct

Dec. 18 – Deputies were dispatched to Indian Trail Road after getting a call about a drunk and disorderly person. The complainant said his stepson had been trying to jump on top of everyone at the residence. When questioned, the man was reportedly very intoxicated. The deputy attempted to put the man in the back of the patrol vehicle, but the man became belligerent and refused to get in the car, the report said. He was arrested and brought to the jail.
