When a soldier goes to battle, he must have a weapon. The Christian is engaged in the most important battle of all time.

It is the battle of good and evil, a battle for his soul and the soul of others. Some believe the battle is for others and they should not engage in the warfare.

This is a trick of Satan that causes some to be unprepared. Peter warned, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8)."

Those who oppose being in this war need to study the topic more closely. The temptations faced every day war against the soul (I Peter 2:11).

The Bible needs to be used offensively and defensively. The solider needs protection against the enemy’s weapons. God has provided His soldier’s the armor they need. " Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Eph. 6:11-18)".

The original question comes to light again, "How do you use your Bible?

God has provided you with the tool by which you can learn how to become His child, and then live as He desires you to live from that point. Remember the Book will never do you any good if you only look at the outside.
