As early voting continues and Election Day nears, residents in Pembroke will see several incumbents, as well as some new names, on their ballot for the Pembroke City Council.
Incumbents Johnnie Miller for District 1, Diane Moore for District 3 and Tiffany Walraven for District 4 have all decided to run for re-election and are all uncontested.
Also uncontested are the mayoral seat, sought by Mary Warnell, and District 2 seat, sought by Kim McGhee, both newcomers to the Pembroke City Council if elected.
All are long-time residents of Pembroke and say they have a vested interest to help better the city for years to come.
Early voting for the municipal election is under way from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday in City Hall at 160 N. Main St. until Nov. 4.
McGhee elected not to participate in the survey, but read below to find out more about Miller, Moore, Walraven and Warnell and their plans for the next term on city council.

Read the candidate surveys in the Oct. 26 edition of the News.
