On a beautiful, sunny Saturday in Evans, at the Augusta State University Jaguar Invitational, the Richmond Hill High School girls took home the second-place plaque, with three girls placing in the top 15, two in the top 10. It was one of the most challenging, hilly courses the girls have faced this season.

Amanda Elliott led the way, capturing first place with a 21:07, a full 56 seconds ahead of the second place female runner from Aquinas. Shanee McKee took 9th place with a 23:34.
Both girls received "Top Ten" t-shirts for their efforts. Chloe Ciorgianni took 13th place, running a 24:21. Three of the team's members, had personal pecords (PR) on Saturday: Jordan Shonka, Maria Coleman, and Caitlyn Oliver.

The boys team also had a good day, placing 5th out of 10 teams, with two boys in the top 15. Nathan Scroggins led the boys' team with an 11th place finish at 18:37. Donovan Gerber was close behind finishing 14th overall, running 18:45.

The RHHS girls celebrated their victory, but both the boys and girls are now focused on the upcoming and last home meet of the season today at the Richmond Hill Fish Hatchery, where 18 teams will compete on this fascinating course.
The races begin at 4:30 pm.
