Brenda Garrett, site manager of the Richmond Hill Senior Center, got to face this week's questions:

1. What do you feel is your greatest achievement?
My marriage and working for a cause bigger than myself.  They both inspire me positively to create and do good things.

2. What, to you, is perfect happiness?
Being at peace with myself and having a complete, happy and healthy family.

3. What one material possession would you save in the event of a fire (assuming your family was safe)?
Pictures!

4. What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Love your neighbor as your self. Working with the seniors of Richmond Hill has opened my eyes and heart to a world I knew little of. Being a voice for the seniors, our often quiet and frail neighbors, is the best feeling ever.

5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Stubbornness. I don’t give up. I continue to push and pull until I am satisfied with the outcome, no matter how big or small the task.

6. What is your greatest fear?
Failing my seniors by not living up to their expectations of me.

7. What is your greatest extravagance?
Facials and massages.

8. If money weren't an object, how would you spend your time?
In the Florida Keys.

9. What is your favorite thing about yourself?
Good work ethic.

10. What trait do you most admire in another person?
Compassion.

11. What trait do you most deplore in another person?
Laziness.

12. What are your favorite books?
“Savannah Blues” and all other books written by Mary Kay Andrews.

13. What talent would you most like to have?
The ability to sing and have people actually enjoy it.
