SAVANNAH — Members of Savannah’s Harley Owners Group chapter will dress to impress in denim and leather for their ride to the 17th annual Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Black-n-Blue Ball at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum on Saturday, June 25. The event will raise money for local children to attend MDA summer camp. Guest are encouraged to go all out in tuxedos or ball gowns or to simply “play it cool” by pairing jeans and with leather tops, jackets or vests.
From 7 p.m.-midnight, the Main Street Band will provide entertainment as guests bid in a silent and live auction. The community is invited to attend for a $25 ticket. Last year, HOG raised $10,427 at the ball.
MDA campers’ families will attend to enjoy the black-n-blue festivities. Proceeds will help an expected 15 children with neuromuscular diseases from the Lowcountry and the Coastal Empire to attend camp at no charge to their families.
MDA is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. To learn more, go to www.mdausa.org.
