Richmond Hill English teacher and soccer coach Steve Kollman answers this week's list of question:

1. What do you feel is your greatest achievement?
Marrying Amy Kollman and blending four kids together into a healthy, happy, productive family.

2. What, to you, is perfect happiness?
Knowing that the spirit of Christ lives in me.

3. What one material possession would you save in the event of a fire (assuming your family was safe)?
Our last family photo, with Amy and the k ids all together and smiling.

4. What's the best advice you've ever been given?
"It ain't about you — deal with it." – my grandmother, Vonceil Hunter

5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would get out of procrastination mode and write that screenplay I have been putting off.

6. What is your greatest fear?
To not give my kids (my own and at school) a foundation to deal with the harsh realities of adulthood.

7. What real or fictional person do you most identify with?
Horace Mann — "Be ashamed to die, until you have won some victory for humanity."

8. What is your greatest extravagance?
I am a minimalist, but I do love to travel with my wife.

9. If money weren't an object, how would you spend your time?
Writing, traveling, and preaching the good news.

10. What is your favorite thing about yourself?
My work ethic. Hard work is good for the soul.

11. What trait do you most admire in another person?
My wife Amy’s ability to always think of the best in other people even when they don't live up to expectations.

12. What trait do you most deplore in another person?
Jealousy and hatred — what a waste of time.

13. Who are your favorite musicians?
Bob Marley and the Wailers.

14. What are your favorite books?
The Bible, “The Case for Christ” by Lee Stroeble, “My name is Asher Lev”  by Chaim Potok, “Ancient Evenings” by Norman Mailer, and “A Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

15. What talent would you most like to have?
To be the lead singer in a rock band.
