Richmond Hill High School breezed to a 10-0 win over Jonesboro in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs, then celebrated by unveiling their Region 2-AAAA title banner and trophy.

The Lady Wildcats made short work of their opponent in the first round of the girls Class AAAA state soccer tournament Tuesday, beating Jonesboro High 10-0 under the GHSA mercy rule. .

Sarah Goolsby and Lindsey Vasher each scored three goals to pace RHHS. Tina Shwari had two goals and Bonnie Holleman and Julia Marcotte scored a goal each for RHHS, which improves to 16-2-1. Goolsby, Vasher and Kayla Taylor recorded assists for RHHS.

The Lady Wildcats will play the winner of the Whitewater vs. Thomas County Central game on May 3 in the second round.
