Christy Sherman, a volunteer at Fort McAllister State Historic Site and Richmond Hill Museum, faces this week's Proust questionnaire.

1. What do you feel is your greatest achievement?
 A great marriage, being a good mom and just making a happy home. 
 
2. What, to you, is perfect happiness? 
Late afternoon on the beach with my family.

3. What one material possession would you save from your home in the event of a fire (assuming your family was safe)? 
My lipstick.
 
4. What's the best advice you've ever been given? 
You make your own luck.

5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I was a morning person.
 
6. What is your greatest fear?
Not making a difference when it's all said and done.

7. What real or fictional person do you most identify with?
I can't come up with anyone who is really "me," but I’m naturally curious, so I love people who expose me to new ideas or interesting ways of thinking about a subject.
 
8. What is your greatest extravagance?
Food. We love cooking at home and going to nice restaurants.

9. If money weren't an object, how would you spend your time? 
Traveling.

10. What is your favorite thing about yourself? 
I don't sweat the small stuff.


11. What trait do you most admire in another person? 
Kindness.

12. What trait do you most deplore in another person?
Close-mindedness.

13. Who are your favorite musicians?
I listen to all kinds of music. I am currently enjoying Angus & Julia Stone on my iPod. I also love classic Motown and swing.

14. What are your favorite books? Currently it is “The Guernsey Literary” and “Potato Peel Pie Society” by Mary Ann Shaffer. I also love to collect local and regional history books.

15. What talent would you most like to have? The ability to time travel.
