Senior guard Olivia Melvin passed the 1,000th point plateau and Bryan County High School stayed unbeaten in Region 3A-A with a 69-53 win over Claxton on Tuesday in Pembroke.
Melvin finished with 19 points for the No. 4-ranked Lady Redskins, who improved to 17-2 overall and 6-0 in the region.
In the boys' contest, Albert Chavis tossed in 18 points in a losing cause as Claxton beat winless BCHS 84-57.
